WHOO HOO! CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. FISHER
AND MRS. RUPSIS for recently earning their National Board Certification.
National Board Certification is achieved upon successful completion of an
extensive voluntary assessment program designed to recognize effective and
accomplished teachers who meet high standards based on what teachers should
know and be able to do. These national standards are based on five core
propositions that form the foundation for what all accomplished teachers
should know and be able to do.
CONGRATS TO SHANE COOK
on percussion and MEGAN EBERLE on
Clarinet for being selected to participate in the prestigious
Illinois Music Educators Association Senior Band Festival.
This is an incredible honor in which they competed with students from area
schools for the honor of participating in this festival to be held on
Saturday November 19, 2011. Way to go, Shane and Megan!!!!!

JUSTIN HILL IS A NATIONAL CHAMPION having earned a Gold
Medal in the Contemporary Instrumental Music category at the ACT-SO
(Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics) National
Conference in Los Angeles in July. Congrats, Justin! Click

GOOD LUCK TO MICOLA COLUCY, who placed first in three
events to win the Intermediate Junior Midwest championship at the National
Baton Twirling Championship. In addition to competing at the state and
regional level, she will compete in the 2011 Junior Olympics in New Orleans
late this month, having qualified in four individual events at the qualifier
in Addison
